Welcome to 'The Hoyland Lowe Stand Trust'
Website
Hoyland Lowe Stand sits on the top of a hill in the small town of Hoyland, Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
Built in 1750 for the first Marquis of Rockingham as a hunting lodge, Hoyland's most recognisable landmark still stands
proud albeit a little worse for wear after over 250 years of change in the area. The locals regard it with fondness
and respect and would like to see the old building put back into active use.
The Hoyland Lowe Stand Trust is a
small but highly committed group of local residents keen to help the Stand get back to it's former glory.
This
website is an information portal for the Hoyland Lowe Stand as well as the Trust with our efforts in raising awareness, fundraising
efforts and general news that help keep the Stand in the forefront of the community.
Please look, be informed and
if possible help us with the effort to bring glory back to the Stand - we want this generation and future generations to understand
and enjoy this resource and hope it becomes an inspirational and educational benefit to the local and national heritage.
